Pressure regulation

Pressure control keeps the process pressure in pipes, dosing units or spray systems stable – despite fluctuating temperatures, viscosities or consumers. Pressure regulators, reducing valves, bypass/overflow valves and sensors with feedback are used for this purpose. A good design takes into account the setpoint, tolerance band, dynamics, media compatibility and safety aspects (e.g. pressure limitation). Placement, damping and venting influence vibrations and dosing accuracy. Regular functional tests and clean filtration protect against wear, clogging and drift.

The results are: reproducible flow rates, clean spray patterns, lower consumption and fewer leaks. In safety-related applications, redundant protective devices, pressure gauges/transmitters and documented test intervals are mandatory in order to reliably protect systems, product quality and employees.
