WERUCON has developed the appropriate dosing technology for this purpose, in order to apply lubricants as efficiently and easily as possible. We find a solution for the most common and difficult challenges for these types of machining processes. These primarily lie in the correct dosage of the lubricant and its distribution.
In addition, we support you in selecting a suitable lubricant. We also answer any questions you have regarding environmental compatibility and ecologically sustainable operation.
Demand for sawing process lubrication in industry
Sawing in an industrial context differs significantly from small-scale sawing work: in terms of the size of the workpieces, the frequency and the overall load on the machine and material.
For example, in medical technology or in the production of special tools, difficult-to-machine, highly tempered steels have to be cut. WERUCON takes a close look at your challenge. We adapt our systems directly to your sawing system or design a completely new, viable solution. Trust in our experience.

Process sawing: band saws versus circular saws
Industrial process sawing with band saws and circular saws are two common cutting methods used in various industries and applications. Significant differences between band and circular saws, as well as the preferred sawing method for certain applications, are:
Band saws
|
Circular saws
|
Band saws use an endless band of sawing teeth stretched across two wheels and moving continuously.
|
Circular saws use a rotating blade to cut the workpiece.
|
They are versatile and can be used for straight and curved cuts in a variety of materials, including metal, wood and plastic.
|
They are ideal for straight cuts in materials such as wood, plastic and composite materials.
|
Band saws have a high cutting accuracy and allow the cutting of complex shapes and contours.
|
Circular saws are generally faster than band saws and are well suited for cuts where high production speeds are required.
|
The band saw is generally more efficient and causes less material loss than the circular saw.
|
A circular saw is more compact and easier to use than a band saw.
|
Band saws are better suited for thicker materials.
|
Circular saws require less space than band saws, which tend to be larger.
|
In terms of lubrication, the two systems differ only to a limited extent. They both rely on the use of lubricants to optimise the sawing process for a number of reasons.
This is what WERUCON does with its sawing process lubrication
When sawing steel, enormous forces are exerted on the workpiece and the machine. A supply of lubricants – in exactly the right quantity – is essential to operate efficiently and minimise risks. Our technology is designed to be adapted to any system in order to apply the respective lubricant. We also support you in selecting the lubricant and find the suitable paste or oil for your system.
The advantages:
- Reducing friction and wear: Lubrication reduces friction between the workpiece and the saw blade, which in turn reduces tool wear and extends their service life.
- Improving cutting performance: Lubrication improves the cutting performance of the saw blades, resulting in cleaner and more precise cuts.
- Ensure surface quality: lubrication helps to improve the surface quality of the cut workpieces by reducing burr formation and roughness.
Our WERUCON articles for lubrication during process sawing
We have developed the quadro spray head for mounting on a band saw. This is precisely designed for the challenge of this type of saw. Thanks to the special nozzle, the respective lubricant is applied directly to the cutting edge and the back of the band.
Our duo spray head is used for the professional lubrication of the circular saw. With it, the lubricant is either sprayed into the cutting edge (front side) or onto the flank of the saw blade (behind the cutting edge). Here we make use of the centrifugal force, which, for example, distributes the oil over the entire saw blade from the centre outwards. Depending on the application, one of our spray lances could also be used for sawing process lubrication.
Both systems are supplied with a corresponding unit as required: micro-dosing dispenser, micro-dosing box or compact dosing units. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to provide you with comprehensive advice.
